About Mark Demsteader (2011): "I grew up in Oxford and used to walk past a gallery on my way home from school that sold his work. I would stop and look at his pieces, and try and figure out how he did them for hours. I've always followed his work."

Emma’s Christmas Traditions

Friday, December 24th, 2010

Emma talked about having a proper Christmas during the press junket interviews for Deathly Hallows.

“We have a proper log wood fire in my living room that really gets me in the Christmas mood. And we have mince pies. That’s a very English thing. If you’ve never tried one, mince pies are absolutely delicious. You must have a mince pie.”

“We always watch really good Christmas-y films by Richard Curtis like ‘Love Actually,’ ‘Bridget Jones’ and ‘Notting Hill’ or old BBC dramas like ‘Pride and Prejudice.’ I always play Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby’s Christmas album which is great … I curl up with my cats. I’m a cat person.”

Emma recently posted on her facebook that she was back in the UK filming the reshoots of the epilogue at Leavesden. Later, other cast members confirmed that shooting was finished. So that’s it then, the end. At least that leaves Emma free to enjoy Christmas with family and friends. Let’s hope the snowy weather cooperates.

And I agree, mince pies are the best!

Emma and Alberta Ferretti Teaser

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

Alberta Ferretti has sent out a little teaser about the new collection in collaboration with Emma Watson. It promises new details soon.

A good idea: Part of the proceeds will go to the People Tree Foundation.

A natural inspiration: The colours of the collection are three non colours.

A cool and crisp feeling: The collection is made of organic cotton.

Christmas Project

Friday, December 17th, 2010

Hey, it’s a little late, but we’ve decided to do a Christmas project. To be honest, I thought that with Emma on facebook there wouldn’t be much interest, since it is so easy to send her messages there. But a number of people have asked, and it has been a tradition since we opened. So, we’re going ahead with a simple Christmas card with your holiday wishes. You can send in messages, stories, poems, artwork, photos, whatever you want to say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays and we’ll include it if we can. The deadline will be December 22. For more details on how to contribute, go to

Still from My Week With Marilyn

Friday, December 10th, 2010

An article at the Daily Mail featured a new image of Emma from the film My Week with Marilyn and includes some quotes about Emma from the producer and director.

Executive producer Harvey Weinstein said about Emma, “For ten years she has been this schoolgirl in the Harry Potter films and now you see her as a woman for the first time. She has an elegance about her – she looks like Jean Shrimpton! – plus she has a gift for comedy and drama, and we’re just starting to see her range. I feel we’re going to work together a lot in the future.”

Director Simon Curtis called Emma ‘a proper actress’ and added, “It’s great to have given Emma her first job after Harry Potter

The film tells the story of a week in the life of Colin Clark during the filming of the Marilyn Monroe film The Prince and the Showgirl. Clark, assistant to Laurence Olivier, showed Monroe around the UK after her husban left the country. Emma plays a small but important role of Lucy, a wardrobe assistant, who was the object of Clark’s flirtations. My Week with Marilyn is scheduled to be released in 2011.
