MTV-Spoilers and Oscars // 22 February 2009

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

MTV Spoilers? Well, that was rather disappointing.

Yesterday MTV had a short segment about their visit to the set of Half-Blood Prince on their show Spoilers. On their blog, MTV said they spoke to all three of the trio. Well, maybe they spoke to Emma but that didn’t show up in their show. They spoke with Dan, Rupert, Jessie and David Yates, but all we get are a few on the set shots of Emma. And very little in the way of “spoilers”.

You need the Flash to see this video.

Update: There was a very short clip from HBP that played during the closing credits of the Academy Awards ceremony.

First, a little miscellaneous news.

I’ve updated the BAFTA photoshoot pics with larger versions. Just a little bit larger, still not HQ. Thanks to Lawry for sending them in.

We have a couple new pics from a photoshoot by Simon Procter last year for the article in Harper’s Bazaar. Thanks to bravelittletoaster for finding them.

The plate that Emma designed for Blue Peter’s Mission Nutrition Appeal sold for a whopping £698.78 at auction on eBay. Well done.

Ok, let’s get the March calendar competition started.

  • The size of the calendar should be 1024×768 or larger
  • Calendars must be in a common graphics format such as jpg, tiff, gif or png.
  • It must have Emma-Watson.net and March on it
  • Your calendar should be in by the 26th of February.
  • No more than 3 entries per person please.
  • All entries must be sent to emmawatson.graphics@gmail.com
  • If you use hotmail or msn, please attach the picture to your email as a FILE, not a PICTURE. If you use picture, it will shrink the image to a small size.

Watson Weekly Issue 17 // 7 February 2009

Saturday, February 7th, 2009

It’s finally here, Issue 17 of Watson Weekly. It’s been a long, lonng, lonnnnng wait. I’m sorry it has taken so long. We actually started on this last April. Some of the articles are a bit dated by now, but we hope you will enjoy them.

We tried something new this time. Instead of a lot of images you have to download, the magazine is now a flash presentation. We’d appreciate any feedback you have on this. I’ll have an acrobat version up later for those who would like to save a copy of the magazine.

In this issue, we have articles about the Demarchelier exhibit, Ralph Fiennes, music, literature and fashion. You will also find some wonderful fan art, a fan spotlight, and a “Map” to Emma’s career by a dedicated fan. And, finally, the results of the Hermione – Pauline video contest.

Update: There is now a pdf version available, as well as links to the videos.
