Emma donates her DKNY to charity // 1 March 2008

Emma has donated a “favorite old DKNY waistcoat” and a new DKNY t-shirt along with a signed letter to the charity Sense.org for auction on eBay. Click here to bid. Rupert Grint has donated a jacket which he wore at the GoF premiere. Thanks to RupertGrint.net for the tip.

Sense is a national charity that has supported and campaigned for children and adults who are deafblind for over 50 years. We provide specialist information, advice and services to deafblind people, their families, carers and the professionals who work with them. We run services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland and employ 2,000 people most of whom work in services directly with deafblind people. Our patron is HRH The Princess Royal. More news:

Emma is #28 on Entertainment Weekly’s 30 Under 30 list, their choice of the top 30 actresses under 30. Dan is #29 on the actor list. Thanks to everyone who let us know.

And we have scans of an article about Emma’s Chanel wardrobe from the Mexican magazine Popcorn thanks to HarryPotterLA.

Wolf Spirit sent us this translation:
“Unlike most girls her age, Emma Watson has perfectly clear the style for which she wants to be remembered and that’s non other than Chanel. Yes, the young English 17 year old girl, born in France, who jumped to stardom portraying Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies attends all her events wearing designs from the exclusive brand. A great choice, since not only does she manage to look to always look elegant but she also keeps her youthful image with the classic touch that has always distinguished Chanel. And that’s why just because you’re a teenager it doesn’t mean you can’t dress with glamour”.

Misc // 26 February 2008

Hey EW.netters,

We have two interesting links for you today. First of all, thanks to Valerie for letting us know that Emma is featured on People’s website “Style Watch” section for her recent appearance at the Vanity Fair exhibition: click. According to the article, a spokeswoman for Burberry said that Emma “is a great image for Burberry, young, cool and edgy“. Couldn’t have said it better ourselves  🙂

Also, we’d like to thank Nishant for telling us that Emma is ranked #26 on MSN’s list of fit celebrities, for her love of “tennis, skiing, dancing, table tennis, “and a very bad round of golf.” 😆

We also have a couple scans from the Romanian Bravo Girl magazine. Thanks to Alin for sending them in.

Have a nice day,

Reminders // 24 February 2008

Hi everyone,

Just a couple reminders. First, there are only 3 weeks left for you to send in your stories, pictures and messages for Emma’s 18th birthday project. You can read all about it here.

People have asked about the Christmas project. So, I’ve added all the past Christmas and birthday projects to the site. Click to see all the things we have given to Emma.

Second, if you haven’t already, make sure you vote for Emma for Best Actress in the Empire Awards and Best UK TV Actress in the Glamour Awards.

And finally we have some scans for you. Taras came across a number of scans of Bravo magazine from various countries that we don’t have and sent them in. Thanks Taras. Credits to Em Watson Extra, Teen Heart Beauty, ???.

Emma is on Vogue’s 10 Best Dressed list of the past week after her appearance at the Vanity Fair Portraits preview party. See it on Style.com (doesn’t seem to work for me in Firefox). Thanks to Helen for the tip.

And time for the March calendar competition!  🙂

  • The size of the calendar should be 1024×768 or larger
  • Calendars must be in a common graphics format such as jpg, tiff, gif or png.
  • It must have Emma-Watson.net and March on it
  • Your calendar should be in by the 27th of February
  • No more than 3 entries per person please.
  • All entries must be sent to emmawatson.graphics@gmail.com
  • If you use hotmail or msn, please attach the picture to your email as a FILE, not a PICTURE. Choosing picture will shrink the image to a small size.

More Pics, Scans, Vote for Emma // 13 February 2008

Hi Emma fans, a few small updates for you.

I’ve added another 35 HQ pics from the Burberry & Vanity Fair event to the gallery.

Sarah sent us an article from last August’s Girl Power magazine from Australia.

Don’t forget to Vote!

Just a few reminders to vote for Emma for Best Actress in the Empire Awards, Best Actress at the Golden Otto Awards, and Best UK TV Actress in the Glamour Awards.

Edit: Voting for the Otto Awards might be over. The link no longer goes to the voting page, and my German is too poor to find if it’s moved.

EDIT: Style.com has an article about the Burberry & Vanity Fair event and it features a new Emma quote about the National Portrait Gallery – short but cute: “I used to come here as a kid“. 🙂

Oxford Union speech: video! // 12 February 2008

Hey EW.netters,

A huge thanks to Tayna & Sheikooz from our boards for finding this video of Emma giving a speech at the Oxford Union back in late 2006. Unfortunately, the video is sideways and a bit short BUT we’re very happy to finally get to hear and see at least part of Emma’s speech. And we have to say that she seems to be quite the natural speaker! 😆

Click here to watch it. It’s a little hard to make out what she says, but she was talking about filming the Yule Ball scene in GoF. You might recognize Emma’s father at the left of the frame, and according to the author, her mother is on the right.

Update: I’ve rotated, brightened and converted the video to AVI format. – dook

Hello, everyone!

In exciting news, Emma has attended an event and we have pictures! Emma attended the Burberry & Vanity Fair Portraits VIP event. Here are the some of the first pictures:

I know they have awful watermarks on them but they’re just a preview. We will have bigger and better ones coming soon. 😉

Edit: Thanks to The Leaky Cauldron, we have some small but watermark free pictures.

She looks so pretty! 🙂

Update: We’ve added 25 48 57 HQ pics to the gallery. Looking for more.
