Merry Christmas to Emma and Happy Holidays to All!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the holiday project. Your messages to Emma can be viewed in PDF format by clicking the image above or here.
After more than 10 years and over 3700 entries our calendar competition is ending. Interest has been waning over the past year and this month only two people sent in entries. I am sad about this, but I think it’s time.
Thank you to all who sent in calendars over the years. Some of you entered many times, some only once, but I hope you all enjoyed the competition. I also want to thank the people who took the time to vote, especially a handful of you who have voted every month for years.
The Holiday Season is here! Time to start our Holiday Project for Emma. Send in your messages, artwork, graphics, pictures, poems, stories, anything you like, to wish Emma a Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays, in your own way. Follow the link below for more details.
The first poster and stills from James Ponsoldt’s The Circle have been released by EuropaCorp.
“Based on the international best-seller by Dave Eggers, The Circle is a thrilling modern morality tale starring Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, and John Boyega. As she rises through the ranks of the world’s largest tech and social media company, The Circle, Mae (Watson) is encouraged by company founder Eamon Bailey (Hanks) to live her life with complete transparency. But no one is really safe when everyone is watching.”
The Circle will be in theaters on April 28th, 2017.
The first trailer for James Ponsoldt’s thriller The Circle debuted on USA Today. Based on Dave Egger’s 2013 novel, the film stars Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, John Boyega, Karen Gillan, Patton Oswalt and Bill Paxton. The Circle opens in theaters on April 28, 2017.
When Mae Holland is hired to work for the Circle, the world’s most powerful internet company, she feels she’s been given the opportunity of a lifetime. The Circle, run out of a sprawling California campus, links users’ personal emails, social media, banking, and purchasing with their universal operating system, resulting in one online identity and a new age of civility and transparency. As Mae tours the open-plan office spaces, the towering glass dining facilities, the cozy dorms for those who spend nights at work, she is thrilled with the company’s modernity and activity. There are parties that last through the night, there are famous musicians playing on the lawn, there are athletic activities and clubs and brunches, and even an aquarium of rare fish retrieved from the Marianas Trench by the CEO. Mae can’t believe her luck, her great fortune to work for the most influential company in the world—even as life beyond the campus grows distant, even as a strange encounter with a colleague leaves her shaken, even as her role at the Circle becomes increasingly public. What begins as the captivating story of one woman’s ambition and idealism soon becomes a heart-racing novel of suspense, raising questions about memory, history, privacy, democracy, and the limits of human knowledge.

Emma Watson attended the 2016 Museum Of Modern Art Film Benefit – Tom Hanks: A Tribute at the Museum of Modern Art in New York on Tuesday. MoMA honored Tom Hanks for being “an enduring star and a steadfast screen presence for more than 30 years. Embodying the decent, hardworking American “everyman” since the early days of his career, Hanks is equally capable in screwball comedies, action films, and award-winning dramas. Beyond his many acting accomplishments—including two Academy Awards—he has stepped behind the camera as director and producer of several acclaimed film and television projects. His versatility often leads to comparisons with such screen icons as James Stewart, Cary Grant, and Jack Lemmon.”
Emma co-stars with Hanks in The Circle due out next April.
The December Calendar Competition is now open.
